10:00 am - Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in front of Museum building 
                                               
                                                 "Do you believe this is finally happening! !"

History Museum Executive Director, Pam Meister

10:15am - Guided Tour
Complimentary tickets for guided yours of the Museum were available on a first-come-first-served basis at the Information Station on Heritage Green.  
   
    "I remember that building!"  

Museum tours were given throughout the day with tickets determining the time of the tour to be taken.
                    
   "Mama!  Are those pigs real ?"                                    
                                                                               "This is just what we needed!"

10:15am – 6:00pm Heritage Green History Festival
This Festival was free to the public and included:  
                                                                               "Is that the real Mark Twain ?"
  • Tales Under the Big Tent (see schedule of storytellers)                         
  • Live Entertainment (see schedule of entertainers)
  • Military Display Area where visitors can  see vintage vehicles, tents and reenactors dressed in uniforms from virtually every war that Upcountry citizens participated in. There will be a display of artifacts from the Civil War as well as artillery on display.

  • Children’s Play Area where children could try their hand at games of the past including sling shot target practice, splatter egg toss, horse shoes   and more.

  • Exciting Exhibitors and Vendors                         "Say it ain't so, Shoeless Joe!"
